The discovery of protein chaperones well over a decade ago confirmed that even in cell biology, getting there can be more than half the fun. Chaperones may be necessary to accompany those proteins that are particularly labile to denaturation or misfolding during their passage through subcellular compartments. The concept of protein origami, according to which a "folding template" is administered to cells to correct the misfolding of mutant proteins, is illustrated on the cover. [Concept and imagery provided by Joel Ito and P. Michael Conn.]
